During the day we use Huggies Natural Fit, and I LOVE them! But at night EVERY night he leaks out of them, all over his pj’s. What have you found to work for your baby? Also when is an ideal age to start potty training? Thanks for your help

i buy size newborn for her (she’s 9days old) and weighs (as of last thursday) 5lb10oz…the problem is her pee always leaks out the side and gets all over her clothes. i have the diaper up pretty high, but there’s still room in the crotch to help prevent rash, the diaper even with the room at the bottom is like half up her back.
does anyone have any tips to make her diaper fit her better? i think the gaps are where her lil’ chicken legs are….i was wondering if i should get the preemie size diapers since those are for babies up to 6lbs.. versus the newborn size is for up to 8lbs..

I really like the way that the Pamper’s Cruisers fit my son, but I looking for a cheaper version. I have already signed up with Pamper’s and my son leaks right through the LUVS diapers (which are made by Pampers).

I’m totoally clueless when it comes to cloth. My nine month old has had a rash for months now. After trying every cream perscription and not and every brand of sposie. I made the decision to switch to cloth. My husband doesn’t like the idea and thinks I will have nothing but leaks and diaper washing every day…Oh and I forgot to mention he’s a penny pincher when it comes to something he doesn’t approve of. So I will be making my own dipes and have lots of questions I haven’t found answers too.
Do fitted diapers need covers?
What in the world is a cover? I know the general idea but does it have to be special fabric or just anything so you have an extra layer?
What is PUL? I know its fabric but thats about it.
What is the best type of diaper to use? I would prefer not to use pins.
For night time would a prefold stuck in another diaper work well? Just an FYI the baby has kidney problems and pees as much as a newborn.
Where can I find the best pattern?
What fabrics are best to use?
Whats the difference between an AIO and fitted?
Any other suggestions you have for a beginner?

This just started about a week ago. It never leaks during the day. Should I change brands (we use Huggies stage 3)? Is there a special "night-time" diaper I can buy that will get him through the night? It’s leaking out the top of the back of the diaper. The diapers seem to fit him, but should I go up a size? Anyone else have a problem like this?
