My now 10 week old was born at 37 weeks and was 7lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long.....as for the smoking thing...I wouldnt smoke while I am pregnant but my stepmom did with her son and he was 10 days late and was 9lbs 15oz and 23 inches long.... My second son was 9 pounds 10oz and 22 inches long. I am not a big person myself, 5'6" in height and fluctuate my weight between 140 and 150 pounds. I had natural birth both times and no epidural with my first. My sons (especially my second) surprised even me (and the nurses) at how big they were. But a bigger baby is usually healthier and is able to leave the hospital sooner. 7 lbs in the US is average weight. My first son was 8 pounds 15oz and 21 inches long.
