During the day we use Huggies Natural Fit, and I LOVE them! But at night EVERY night he leaks out of them, all over his pj’s. What have you found to work for your baby? Also when is an ideal age to start potty training? Thanks for your help
I have tried distractions like giving him a toy in his hand, changing him in front of the tv or singing to him, but nothing seems to work. He continues screaming and kicking.
I’m trying to prepare myself ahead of time. and also I have a lot of Number 1’s and my sister said even if they are a newborn they can fit them just as good.
When should I go up to the next size of diapers? My son is almost 3 months old, weighs 13-14 pounds. He’s very tall though so his waist is pretty small.Size 1 diapers seem to fit him, but lately they have been getting tighter, leaving some redness around his legs and since he is starting to sleep through the night, the diapers are VERY wet by the time he is changed. On nights he sleeps a full 8 hours, his diaper sometimes will even leak that it is so full. Is it time to go up to the next size?
I know this is going to sound pretty stupid of me, but I was wondering if anyone has used plastic diaper covers as makeshift swim diapers with success. I was looking at the plastic diaper covers (the vinyl pants things) and was thinking that they would be water resistant and snug fitting enough to be worn over a regular diaper in the water. Any stories or insights to share?
We have a couple of reusable swim diapers, but I was just curious if this would work as well.
u know those that look that underwear on top of the diaper. Well all the dresses she got for her bday came with undies BUT they have never fit. She has big thights so when it was cold was not a problem cuz she used wear dresses with thighs underneath. But now that summer is around the corner, I don’t want her wearing the dress only and when I lift her or hold her have the ugly diaper showing… Any moms with this problem?
Has anyone else had problems with poo escaping the diaper??
I have a 12 week old, formula fed now, who seems to save up all of his "number 2" for a once a day massive blow out. The problem is, so much seems to come out and he pushes it out so forcefully that it has been escaping his diaper and going up his back… sometimes all the way to his neck.
I don’t mind changing him and bathing him – BUT his undershirts seem unsalvageable to me.
The poo isn’t extremely runny, so i’m not worried about diarrhea… I’ve also tried loosing his diapers to see if it will give him more "give room" but that didn’t work. I’ve also checked to make sure that the diaper is fitted correctly in the back – which it is.
soo…. anyone else?? should i go up a size in diapers (right now he’s in a size 1)? Tips on cleaning the undershirts?
He has been wetting the bed and i am tired of cleaning his bed. He needs to start wearing diapers. Can anyone tell me what kind of diapers will fit him? He is 15 and wears size 36 pants.
I know there are all sorts of diapers out there and some are supposed to be just for newborns. But how do you pick the size you need before you know how big the newborn will be? Will newborn-size diapers fit every newborn? How many should I buy to start us out?? I appreciate the help!
Ok I babysit a 1 and a half year old. And unfortunately she isn’t potty-trained! And she never started going when I babysat her the first few times. And she now is like clockwork with me…ugh…but when I go to change her she won’t let me put her down. And they don’t have a changing table and I don’t wanna do it on the carpet incase it gets on there…and the tile just scares me because she throws fits and I am afraid that she will like slam her head down on it. And I don’t want to have to wrestle her down to change her. I told her dad and he said he has to fight with her to change her. But like what do I do? I have only changed ONE DIAPER IN MY WHOLE LIFE!
Oh yeah and I try to like bribe her down…like I go do u want Mr.Bear? And make him like walk to the area and she doesn’t move..its like she likes it…
I already know that I want to use cloth diapers but I am very confused about the differences in them. Can someone please explain to me the differences in the different types: AIO, pre-fold, Chinese pre-fold, pocket, fitted, and diaper covers.
I am assuming that the pre-folds are just the pieces rectangular cloth that are thicker in the middle to absorb, right? But do you still use safety pins to fasten them?

my son is 6 pounds 14 ounces we have him in pampers newborn swaddlers we still have to fold the diaper down in the front or his umbilical cord would end up right in the diaper.every time he pees it comes right out the diaper.the tapes to seal the diaper have to almost overlap to hold it on. i thought of using a preemie diaper but they say up to 6 pounds so that would seem small but then again i am folding the newborn diaper to fit to him..any ideas thanks
seems to be leaking out the leg and near the back of the diaper never out the front.
